“Miriam was a primary school teacher. However, she has been unemployed since she had to leave her paid job to care for her mother with Alzheimer’s. She struggles to make ends meet and fulfill her caregiving obligations amidst her activism.

She is a member of the Women’s Advisory Council, a district participation institution charged with proposing and holding the Bogotá local government accountable on all gender issues.”
